BJ McLeod MOtorsports

B.J. McLeod knew at an early age that racing was his passion. McLeod began ATV racing at the age of three and quickly moved to Go-Karts at age five, making an unprecedented mark at the Regional, State and National levels with over 300 wins and 18 championships.

At the tender age of 13, he began his stock car career.  In August of 1997, McLeod won his first Super Late Model (SLM) race at Orlando Speed World, making him the youngest driver in the nation to accomplish this feat.  McLeod also became the youngest driver to qualify and compete in an American Speed Association (A.S.A.) sanctioned race. 

He has over 100 SLM wins from age 13-26 and several championships all over the Southeast. Climbing the racing ladder was the goal for McLeod and NASCAR was his destination. In 2010, McLeod made his inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut, finishing an impressive 17th given the competition.

Since then, he has continued to have a presence in the Series, while also Climbing the NASCAR ranks to include the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) and reached the sport’s pinnacle level with a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start at New Hampshire in 2015.

Behind the scenes, McLeod was instrumental in the making of the 2014 documentary “Regan Motorsports” on the Velocity channel.

 In 2016, McLeod concentrated on his empire, B.J. McLeod Motorsports, a successful two car operation in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. McLeod drove the No. 78, while a variety of drivers piloted the No. 8 car, ranging from rookies to past champions such as Travis Kvapil and Jeff Green.

 In October the team expanded to a three-car operation, adding the No. 99, while keeping an emphasis on McLeod's ride, which finished inside the top-20 in driver points following the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.

 In 2017, B.J. McLeod Motorsports has continued to build the business with its three-car effort for a full 33-race slate with cars No. 78, No. 8(Update 2019 now car No. 5) and No. 99.

 At the beginning of the 2017 season, McLeod had a presence both in and out of the car, taking an Owner role for the first three races and started his driver season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  McLeod delivered a lead lap top-25 position at both Phoenix Raceway and Auto Club Speedway. At Dover International Speedway and Iowa Speedway, McLeod delivered two of his best finishes on lead lap, finishing 22nd. His most unforgettable finish was at his home track, Daytona International Speedway where he delivered an amazing 11th place finish.

Multiple B.J. McLeod Motorsports race cars earned top-15 finishes in 2017. From the exciting top-10 finish from past champion Jeff Green at Talladega Speedway; Tommy Joe Martins and Josh Bilicki also brought home respectfully an 11th and a 12th place position.

 In 2018, B.J. McLeod Motorsports, continued its efforts in building the team both on and off the track.  Purchasing a 15,000 sq. ft. state-of-the art facility which includes a simulator area, fabrication area and full-size gym, that houses 28 plus racing machines.   

In 2019, BJMM brought on Vinnie Miller in the No. 78 and Matt Mills was behind the No. 5, with a carousel of drivers in the No. 99 that included Stefan Parsons, Tommy Joe Martins, Scott Heckert, Josh Bilicki and JA Avila Jr. The team had several top 20 finishes, Mills at Texas & Iowa p18, Heckert finished p13 at Watkins Glen, Bilicki p20 at Road America, Parsons p19 at Dover & Indianapolis, Miller p19 at Dega.

Goals were set high going into 2020 and BJMM drivers delivered with several top 15 finishes. Mills finished p13 at Richmond & Texas, McLeod at Darlington & Phoenix with a p14, Miller p15 at Bristol & Auto Club and Bilicki leading several laps at Road America coming in p17. Top 20 finishes by Stefan Parsons p18 at Texas & Mason Massey p20 at Talladega.

In 2023, Anthony Alfredo joined the team to pilot the No. 78. He led the team to two Top 10 finishes in the Fall Daytona and Martinsville. Alfredo even led 24 laps throughout the season. Stay tuned for updates on our 2024 driver.
